Community Spotlight: Have you heard of the music production studio The Heaven Studios in Tarzana, California?

Today, we're happy to share with you our conversation with the owner of The Heaven Studios, Santos, from Tarzana, California. 
We wanted to get to know a little bit more about his collective, how he got into the music scene, and where he plans on taking The Heaven Studios in the future. Here's how it went:

Thanks for taking the time to chat with us Santos! We're excited to have you as our next feature to learn more about you and your music production studio. Let's start this off with you sharing exactly what it was that initially drew you to your craft, and how has your journey unfolded since then?
Santos: I came across an opportunity to create Th3 H3av3ns Collective alongside my good friend Koncept, who with his passion behind the mic, truly inspired us and many more of our friends to embrace this musical journey. I met Koncept about 3 or 4 years ago, before the creation of the collective. I grew up playing the guitar, drawing and just being a creative mess experimenting with my surroundings. Becoming more aware of the fact that I could use my talents for many different things, but never found its purpose until I connected with Koncept and later on the rest of our collective.
Since day one, I had let my team know that I wasn’t a music manager, music connoisseur, or in any way musically inclined. I’m just a person who grew up playing the guitar upside down, left-handed like Jimi Hendrix, and like many artists just finding my way to overcome life and its obstacles. “I’m aiming to inspire and leave my mark on the wall" just like how other artists have inspired me.
During these last few years, we've learned to produce, record, and engineer ourselves. We’ve managed to host successful, as well as unsuccessful, showcases where we played our music. We’ve also got to connect with a great majority of the SFV and I can't express the gratitude I have for the universe that has allowed me to explore and discover my dreams alongside my team.

Can you share some insights into your creative process? Where do you find inspiration, and how do you translate that into your work?
Santos: For me there’s different ways of getting inspiration. Ideas always pop up in my mind, but it’s about bringing those ideas into reality. My music is inspired by other artists pouring out their passions through their instruments and blending it with the sounds I have in mind. 

What projects are you currently working on, and what excites you the most about them?
Santos: Currently working on a workshop that is focused on helping the underdeveloped artist discover themselves. From learning who you are at the core, to visualizing how you want to express and present yourself. Then committing to taking action on your artistic journey. I'm putting it all on the table, my resources, knowledge, with the aid of other local musicians, entrepreneurs, and likeminded creatives, I believe that we can make a difference in our community while also uplifting those around us. The excitement is intertwined with the journey.

Looking back on your career so far, what would you consider to be your proudest achievement or most memorable moment?
Santos: I'm the proudest when I witness my collective putting in the work. To see my close friends working 9-5 and still showing up to our studio ready to pour their soul into these tracks, seeing the hype before they get up on that stage. To be in the presence of greatness unfolding for the future. That's what fuels all of our careers.

How do you navigate challenges and setbacks in your field, and what advice would you give to aspiring creatives facing similar obstacles?
Santos: When things get hectic and you start feeling like you're stuck, take a step back, and work on something else. There's plenty of reasons why something won't work out, but the hardships are never aimed at you. Live life knowing you’re doing the best you can every day and push a little harder when you become aware that you’re doing it for you.

In an industry constantly evolving, how do you stay innovative and relevant while maintaining your unique voice/style?
Santos: Having an open mind. Learning from the next universal interaction. Remembering that we are not alone. We may start our journey alone, but we'll find our people and create that safe space later on.

What do you hope audiences or consumers take away from your work, and what impact do you aspire to make in your industry?
Santos: I want the people to elevate themselves and embrace our power as celestial beings.

Lastly, what message or piece of wisdom would you like to share with your fans, or anyone inspired by your journey?
Santos: Be yourself. When it comes to the 1, You’re the #1.
