Community Spotlight: Meet recording artist $tarzzsouf from Ventura, California.

Today, we're happy to share with you our conversation with recording artist and fashion designer $tarzzsouf from Ventura, California.
We wanted to get to know a little bit more about who he is, how he got into the music industry, and where he's going on his creative journey. Here's how it went:

Thanks for taking the time to chat with us $tarzzsouf! We're excited to have you as our next feature and learn more about you as a musician. Let's start this off with you sharing exactly what it was that initially drew you to your craft, and how has your journey unfolded since then?
$tarzzsouf: Well, ever since I was a kid I've been writing lyrics, and I never made an actual song until I was in the 8th grade. I then showed it to my friends, and they said they all really messed with it. That only pushed me further to keep going.

Can you share some insights into your creative process? Where do you find inspiration, and how do you translate that into your work?
$tarzzsoufI get inspiration from my brother. He used to produce beats for a clique called the “BlindBoys” and that inspired me to write lyrics, freestyle on beats at 9 years old, which would later inspire that song I made in the 8th grade. That was a freestyle and I used that push to finish what I started.

What projects are you currently working on, and what excites you the most about them?
$tarzzsoufI recently released a mixtape on all platforms titled “In The Sky Mixtape” which was a little piece of my work, experimenting with different beats and flows. As of right now I'm working on an EP with features from Polo Boyz and Monkmane and I'm really excited for that one.

Looking back on your career so far, what would you consider to be your proudest achievement or most memorable moment?
$tarzzsoufMy proudest achievement in my career so far was releasing my first mixtape and also when I played my first concert because I never would have thought I'd be in a position like that to do so. It really made me feel more motivated about making music.

How do you navigate challenges and setbacks in your field, and what advice would you give to aspiring creatives facing similar obstacles?
$tarzzsoufIf I'm ever stuck on a song or just not able to do anything I usually just look for beats and write up some lyrics that way when I'm ready I can just get straight to recording all my songs. And for the people out there trying to do music you guys have to keep going and not give up because if you don't try, you'll never know how far you'll get with it, so just keep doing your thing and always keep trying.

In an industry constantly evolving, how do you stay innovative and relevant while maintaining your unique voice/style?
$tarzzsoufPromoting my stuff to all my accounts and always staying consistent is the key also making connections with other people that'll help promote my music.

Can you talk about any collaborations or partnerships that have been particularly meaningful or impactful for you?
$tarzzsoufI want to give a shoutout to Lilpickleakadp and the Polo Boyz for giving me the chance to prove my skills with rapping because if it wasn't for them, I probably wouldn't be doing music anymore. They really inspired me to do music more because they always tell me I have one of the best talents and that really motivates. Shout out to Monkmane for always giving me tips on how to improve in the music industry.

What do you hope audiences or consumers take away from your work, and what impact do you aspire to make in your industry?
$tarzzsoufI hope to show everyone that you could make any kind of music you want, and it will still be good no matter what genre it is. People should take my music as a piece of art and really listen to it, so it resonates with your soul.

Lastly, what message or piece of wisdom would you like to share with your fans, or anyone inspired by your journey?
$tarzzsoufShout out to Lilpickleakadp, shout out to my manager Yung Narc, shout out to my boy Piss Piss as they are the ones always giving me the inspiration for all of this. I appreciate them 4life as well as the people that listen to my music, I appreciate your support! I'll be having show's soon for y'all much love.
