Today, we're happy to share with you our conversation with creative innovator Di-Jana Keyes from Los Angeles, California.
We wanted to get to know a little bit more about who she is, how she got into her craft, and where she's going on her creative journey. Here's how it went:

Thanks for taking the time to chat with us Di-Jana! We're excited to have you as our next feature and learn more about you as a creative. Let's start this off with you sharing exactly what it was that initially drew you to your craft, and how has your journey unfolded since then?
Di-Jana Keyes: What excites me about my craft is working in the entertainment industry. I’ve been acting, dancing, and singing since I was very young. I’ve carried my craft into something that challenges me to enjoy how talented I am and show people why I love to do what I do and remain who I am.

Can you share some insights into your creative process? Where do you find inspiration, and how do you translate that into your work?
Di-Jana KeyesI found inspiration watching television as a young girl. I enjoyed the spontaneous joy of relating to others in a theatrical artistic type of language.

What projects are you currently working on, and what excites you the most about them?
Di-Jana KeyesI’m always producing my own personal photoshoots. I've developed a skill to help models, at little to no cost, with getting started in specific journey’s I’ve encountered in the industry. I help models pose, embrace their beauty, and find their definition of who they want to be in the world of high fashion.

Looking back on your career so far, what would you consider to be your proudest achievement or most memorable moment?
Di-Jana KeyesMy proudest achievement is becoming my own boss. The journey hurts, but every new blessing helps me stay passionate.

How do you navigate challenges and setbacks in your field, and what advice would you give to aspiring creatives facing similar obstacles?
Di-Jana Keyes: Every day is a challenge meeting fear. Accept positivity. It’s tough but finding the right support group and be your own cheerleader. Always remembering that minor setbacks are setting you up for a bigger comeback.

In an industry constantly evolving, how do you stay innovative and relevant while maintaining your unique voice/style?
Di-Jana KeyesI peep game on not much, but enough to stay relevant. I just tell myself be the chief and not the Indian. It’s easy to become a follower, it’s tougher to lead a nation. Be your own individual and know that the world is yours.

Can you talk about any collaborations or partnerships that have been particularly meaningful or impactful for you?
Di-Jana KeyesEvery idea towards my collaborations is meaningful. I stick to open honesty, hospitality, and continuing business in a respectful manner. My first impression with new clients means everything to me.

What do you hope audiences or consumers take away from your work, and what impact do you aspire to make in your industry?
Di-Jana KeyesI hope my audience understands what it means to be an innovator. Raise your own bar and set your own tone. I hope to inspire change, creativity, and individuality. Being self-made is not for everybody, but it’s a mindset that everyone can focus on whether its material or personal business.

Lastly, what message or piece of wisdom would you like to share with your fans, or anyone inspired by your journey?
Di-Jana KeyesAlways move one man, one sound. Like a marching band. Prioritize yourself and take lucrative steps. Find trust in others as they would find the good in you. Lastly, on everything you believe in stand ten toes proud. The good karma is when others cheer for your performance.
